Joyce is a sunny-natured girl who's guessed to be about 8 years old by our vet. She came into CLSR recently from a shelter in the DFW area. They had picked her up as a stray, but no one ever came to claim her, so CLSR was happy to take her in and help her. :)

Joyce is very pretty, playful, and social. Her coloring is wheaten with black points She likes to play with toys, but even more, she likes to get attention and cuddles from her people, especially tummy rubs. Joyce just soaks up your attention! She has an alpha nature and would probably prefer being an only dog. She's in a play group here that has male fosters in it and that goes all right. However, she doesn't tolerate other female foster cairns very well.

Medically speaking, CLSR has brought her up-to-date on her vaccinations, as well as getting her teeth cleaned. She tested heartworm negative, and we keep her on monthly heartworm and flea preventative. She's also been dewormed and microchipped.

Joyce understands walking on leash, but she does pull some on it. She sleeps in a crate here and keeps it dry. We believe that she was raised as someone's pet as she seems very comfortable with our household routines and noises. Joyce also seems to be pottytrained.
