04/05/2010: Greetings! My name is Diaz...at least that is my official name bestowed upon me by Camp Lone Star. My foster mom thinks I should have been named "Vincent" as in Van Gogh. Do you know why? Because I only have one ear too! She also thinks I would be adorable in an apple- cap. You see, I spent most of my life in a puppy mill where often bad things happen to us cairns, but I am so happy to have come out of there with only the loss of one ear! My foster mom says it gives me character.
I am really making up for lost time and I have turned back the biological clock -- don’t you wish you could do the same? I have been out of that horrible mill for almost three years and that is about how old my foster parents think I act. I have so much energy! I run around the house, play with my foster brothers and sister (all cairns), and walk two to three miles every day. I love walks, and unlike one of my foster-brothers, I don’t announce to the entire world that I am out for a walk -- I walk with dignity. I like toys and even play tug-of-war with my foster brother who is a much bigger cairn than me (but then mom says that being bigger than me doesn’t take much). I guess it's true -- I am rather small in stature, but DYN-O-MITE comes in small packages, you know!
I love to lay by my foster dad’s feet while he works on the computer, or snuggle with foster mom on the bed. I sleep in my crate very well and I don’t have accidents in the house. Doesn’t all of this make you want to adopt me? If so, please fill out an application for me at www.camplonestarrescue.org so that Camp Lone Star can see we are a “match made in heaven”. I'll be waiting for you with a whole lot of love to give!
Sincerely, Diaz
