04/27/2016:

Sherri is a sunny-natured, athletic girl who's guessed to be about 3 years old by our vet. She came into CLSR recently from a shelter in the DFW area. They had picked her up as a stray, but no one ever came to claim her, so CLSR was happy to take her in and help her. :)

Sherri is very pretty, playful, and social. She has a beautiful black coat and we think she's probably a cairn / scottie mix. She likes to play with toys, but even more, she likes to get attention and cuddles from her people, especially tummy rubs. Sherri just soaks up your attention! She plays with Douglas here and they get along very well.

Medically speaking, CLSR has brought her up-to-date on her vaccinations, as well as microchipping her. She tested heartworm positive at intake, so we had her go through the full heartworm treatment. That is successfully behind her now, and we keep her on monthly heartworm and flea preventative to prevent it from coming back. She's also been dewormed.

Sherri understands walking on leash, but she does pull some on it. She sleeps in a crate here and keeps it dry. We believe that she was raised as someone's pet as she seems very comfortable with our household routines and noises and she takes treats very gently. Sherri also seems to be potty trained.

Does Sherri look like someone that you'd like to meet? If so, please fill out an application online and put her name in the place that says, "Specially interested in _________." Then someone will be in touch with you very shortly to arrange a personal meeting with her. Sherri might just might be your next cairn companion! :)

Thank you for supporting cairn terrier rescue!
